Heres before:
And after:
The sundamage felt scaly to the touch so I started with 600 grit and wetsanded down to 2500 followed by polish.
Next time I will see about getting 3000 grit to finish it off and some uv protective wax or something.(there is minor haze but only noticable if your 3 inches away)

These look great! I really need to do mine. What increments
did you use between the 600 and 2500?

Nice job!

Did you use a kit, or just get the paper you need yourself? I’d definitely recommend getting some UV protectant, since you’ve just sanded away whatever protection it had left, so it might cloud up again quickly if not re-shielded.
Regardless, it looks like a big improvement.

Very nice. This inspires me to do the same on my car. Its headlights are... less than transparent.

Now to really finish it off and keep it looking like new, throw on a coat of clear.

I plan to do this same, except I’m going to try shooting this product over it and see if it will last longer. Has anybody tried doing this? I saw a YouTuber shooting clear over his headlights, but not this specific type.

Went down to the hardware store and picked up the various grits and a polishing wheel at autozone for my drill.
Part of me wants to let it haze again so that I can do a better job next time.

I’ve had good experiences with this , although it’ll take a weekend with having to pull the headlamps off the car (or do a really good job of masking everything off) and then having to wetsand out any orange peel once it’ s dry. It should last the life of the car if you do it right though.
A good ceramic coating is a good alternative if you don’t want to do all that, just remember to reapply it once or twice a year.

I wish mine weren’t cloudy on the inside. I did the kit and it helped not-at-all

Nice on the R56 and R55 how the trim ring swings up with the bonnet so you can get to every bit of the lens easily without worrying about scratching anything else.

I’m on year four and they still look good. I could do them again if they get foggy but they are 10x better than when I started.
